Blue Lake Milling Rolled Rice is grown under the bright shining Australian Sun and milled locally. Blue Lake Milling Rolled Rice is a light golden colour in characteristic and absorbs large volumes of liquid. Blue Lake Milling Rolled Rice is derived from brown grains of rice, that have been rolled into flat flakes under heavy rollers in various thicknesses.
Rice is a key adjunct and feature in Japanese and American Light Lagers. Must be mashed with malted barley to aid conversion.
Rolled Rice can be used for crafting gluten reduced products.
Blue Lake Milling flaked products are not considered pregelatinized in the true sense.
They undergo steam treatment (100 degrees Celcius for a minimum of 20 minutes ) to make the grain pliable for rolling which may be construed as gelatinisation.
